Young Adult Ministry of Immanuel Fellowship church, seeks to provide spiritual nourishment, inspiration and guidance to the young adults. The ministry encourages proper spiritual and moral principles to empower youth to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” (I Timothy 4:12).
The Young Adult Ministry’s mission is to praise and worship God, as well as gain an understanding of God’s word and teachings as it applies in our lives. We aim to provide an open forum where young adults can meet regularly to discuss the various spiritual and secular issues that confronts our age group with the purpose of charting a way forward that honors God and validates the values that we hold dear as individuals.
We aim to provide social and spiritual support to one another, we fellowship one with another and we motivate one another while maintaining our walk of faith and glorify God in all that we do. Our focus is to be a social group of positive influence, providing guidance, and direction towards purpose and self-discovery both within the church and outside.
Help each other recognize and acknowledge God’s gifts, abilities, and talents deposited in each one of us and the provision of the space, opportunities and the trust to hone, help in finding ways within the community to use them for God’s purpose and good work.
As part of our activities
– We have a weekly bible study and prayer time.
– We gather at an “overflow” meeting to discuss and connect with God and each other bi-weekly.
– We host conference retreat annually. It is an opportunity to reflect on the journey so far, and the way ahead, all in the bid to become better Christians and valuable members of the society.
– A sizable number of our members are in the church choir and we provide different platforms for spiritual and physical growth. We participate in capacity building and community events, while creating a fun atmosphere for the youth.
